Delivery Area And Timing

Bits of Steel currently ships orders within South East Queensland only. If your address is outside our delivery area, we may be able to deliver to your nominated carrier within our service area.

Normal delivery is Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm. We will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date. Delivery dates and morning or afternoon delivery windows are estimates only, and we cannot guarantee a precise time of day.

If an item is out of stock when you order, we will contact you to arrange an alternative delivery date or any required adjustment to your order.

Customer Delivery Details

It is the customer's responsibility to enter the correct delivery address at the time of ordering. If the wrong address is supplied, we are not obliged to re-send the order to the correct address at our expense.

At checkout we ask for the site type, delivery address, delivery contact name and phone number, unloading details, delivery instructions, and preferred delivery window.

Attendance And Site Access

All deliveries require someone to be present to sign for and accept the goods. In general, we do not deliver to unattended sites.

If nobody is available, cannot be contacted, or the delivery cannot be unloaded safely because of site conditions or unavailable equipment, the order may be returned to our factory. A redelivery fee may apply.

Delivery is generally to kerbside or the safest accessible point closest to the requested location. The driver will assess access, safety, and unloading time before deciding where the goods can be safely unloaded.

Unloading And Delivery Charges

A delivery fee is payable in addition to the purchase price of each product. Standard delivery is normally by flat bed truck with a single driver.

• If you have sufficient equipment or labour to unload safely, the normal delivery charge applies based on postcode.
• For smaller orders where each item is under 30kg and the total order is under 200kg, the driver can hand unload and the normal postcode delivery charge applies.
• For moderate assisted-unload orders where each item is under 60kg and the total order is under 400kg, a two-person unloading surcharge of 50% of the normal postcode delivery charge applies.
• If unloading assistance is required for orders with any item over 60kg, or total order weight over 400kg, crane truck delivery is required and crane truck rates apply.

If an order contains heavy items, checkout may show a warning that suitable unloading equipment or additional unloading support may be required.

Pickup From Factory

Bits of Steel will contact you when your order is ready to be picked up. Please allow up to 3 business days from the date the order is placed unless we advise otherwise.

Pickup is from 1 Maxwell St, Brendale QLD 4500, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm. Please phone (07) 3865 7740 before collection to confirm the order is ready.

Risk And Liability

We will not be held liable for loss or damage resulting from late delivery. We also do not accept liability for loss, theft, or damage arising after delivery has taken place, subject to any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.
