These terms govern the sale of products by Bits of Steel and apply to customers using our website, ordering online, or purchasing through our business.
Orders And Acceptance
All orders are subject to product availability and acceptance by Bits of Steel. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse orders at our discretion.
Orders are confirmed only when payment and processing requirements have been satisfied. If a product, processing option, or delivery requirement cannot be supplied as ordered, we will contact you to discuss the available options.
Pricing And Payment
All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless stated otherwise. Pricing may include applicable taxes where required.
Accepted payment methods may include card and other supported online payment options shown at checkout. Account payment terms apply only where an approved account arrangement is already in place.
Delivery, Shipping, And Pickup
Delivery is available within the Greater Brisbane area or to a nominated transport carrier within our service zone. Estimated delivery times are indicative only and may vary due to workload, stock availability, site access, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Risk of loss or damage transfers to the customer upon delivery or collection, subject to any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law. Additional delivery and unloading conditions are set out in our Shipping And Delivery Policy.
Processing
Where processing services are supplied, the following processing tolerances and requirements apply unless otherwise specified in writing.
- Cutting tolerance: Product will be cut between -2 mm and 0 mm of the specified length.
- Galvanising: Extra holes may be required for hanging or drainage.
- Drilling: Drill holes will be located within +/- 1 mm of the specified location.
- Guillotining: Sheet dimensions will be within +/- 1 mm of the specified dimension.
- Welding: Weld size will be 6 mm unless otherwise specified.
- Painting: Surface will be cleaned equivalent to a 1.5 class sand blast and a 75 micron zinc rich primer applied.
Stock Lengths
Stock lengths are generally supplied ex the manufacturer with an over-roll length greater than the nominal specified length. They are generally not exact lengths.
Returns, Refunds, And Product Issues
Claims for defective or damaged products should be made promptly after delivery or collection. Customers may be required to provide evidence of the issue so it can be assessed properly.
Refunds, repairs, or replacements are handled in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. Custom processed, fabricated, or cut-to-size goods may not be returnable for change of mind.
Product Information And Liability
We aim to ensure our products and processing services meet relevant Australian standards where applicable. Website content is provided for general information only, and use of that information is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bits of Steel is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and total liability is limited to the value of the affected product or service.

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia and disputes are to be resolved in Queensland. Bits of Steel may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time, with changes taking effect once published.
